The leaders and the decision makers of the EU countries need to sleep in these tents, not people with feelings and humanity like us.

The No Border Camp media team talked to Shadia and her husband Qamal when she visited the No Border Camp yesterday with their children. Residents from government camps across Thessaloniki have come to take part in the camp which sees activists from across Europe coming together in solidarity. Shadia points out:

We are here in your country because of the war in Syria. After five years of war we could no longer survive in our homes and we had to leave our country. We left all that we had behind us. I am very happy to be here with you, because you share our pain and try to find solutions with us. Especially when you sleep in these tents in the same way we did at the borders. I observed the preparations of the food, the drinks and of the discussions and I saw a huge difference between that and the procedures of the military and police in our camp, especially because here, it is not run by the government but by normal people. We are very happy with the things you are doing for us, we are happy to see you, we are happy about your empathy and your humanity.

All I want is to reunite with my daughter who has been living in Sweden for the last three months. We are now in Europe, but will not stay here forever! We want to return to our home as soon as this nightmare comes to an end. As soon as this awful war ends. We will never forget you standing beside us and equally we will never forget what the decision-makers did to us by forcing us into these places where we are treated like animals. I hope this movement will succeed and we can pass the borders. We want to live in a safe place until the end of the war. That is all I want.

الزعماء وأصحاب القرار عليهم النوم مثلنا في هذه الخيم وليس أشخاص ذو مشاعر وإنسانية مثلكم

قالتها (ش) ذات ال40 من العمر بعيونن حزينة وبجانبها يجلس زوجها(س) وثلاثة أطفال أثناء زيارتها لمؤتمر التحرك الأوروبي وفتح الحدود في سالونيكا من ٢٠١٦.٠٧.١٥ إلى ٢٣ الشهرالجاري بوجود أشخاص متطوعين وطلاب من كافة أنحاء أوروبا.

„لقد جئنا إلى اليونان (أوروبا ) من حوالي ال٥ شهور عن طريق البحر في قارب صغير وكنا على متنه أكثر من خمس وثلاثين شخص لرحلة كانت مدتها ثلاث ساعات.

نجونا من موت البحر لنتفاجئ بموت بطيئ ينتظرنا في اليونان (أوروبا ) عن طريق إغلاق الحدود في وجه العابرين لهذا الطريق، في وجه الأطفال، في وجه النساء، في وجه الإنسانية“

نحن موجودين هنا في أراضيكم، لأننا لدينا حرب عنيف لم يرى الزمان إلى الآن مثله، حرب من خمس سنوات ولم نعد نستطيع العيش آمنين في بيوتنا وأضطررنا لمهاجرة بلادنا وترك كل مانملك ورائنا

أنامسرورة جدا بوجودكم هنا لمشاركتكم همومنا لمساعدتكم على إجتياز أزمتنا مع انكم غير مجبرين على عمل هذا، أن تنامو في الخيم كماننام نحن هذا يعني أنكم تشعرون بنا تشعرون بآلامنا ولكن ماأوده هو أن يجرب حرارة، برادة هذه الخيمة الزعماء الذين أغلقوفي وجهنا الحدود ليس لفترة طويلة وإنما ليوم واحد.

أثناء تجول (ش) في مكان عقد اللقاء الأوروبي ورؤيتها للتجهيزات والتحضيرات، من الطعام ، للشراب، للإستقبال، وللإنسانية التي طالما فقدانها من خلال تعاملنا مع الشرطة والجيش في اليونان.

هناأسأل نفسي لماذا هذا التنظيم أفضل بكثير من تنظيم الكامبات الحكومية وهذا المكان ليس بحكومي؟ نحن سعداء جدا بكل خطوة ستفعلوها من أجلنا، سعداء لرؤيتكم، سعداء لتعاطفكم ولإنسانيتكم،وسأكون سعيدة عندما أستطيع لقاء إبنتي (ن) المقيمة من حوالي الأشهر في السويد.

نحن الآن في أوروبا ولكن لن نبقى هنا للأبد سنعود لمنزلنا بمجرد إنتهاء هذا الكابوس الذي يلاحقنا كل يوم، عندما ينتهي هذا الحرب القوي.

لن ننسى أبدا وقفتكم جنبنا من شعب لشعب ولن ننسى تخاذل الحكام وأصحاب القرار لنا ووضعنا في أماكن لايقبلون بأن تكون أماكن لكلابهن.

أتمنى أن ينجح هذاالمؤتمر ونعبر الحدود ونعيش في مكان آمن لحين أن تنتهي أزمتنا، هذا ماأتمناه أكثر لا
